Miami Art Week / Art Basel Miami Beach
Miami Art Museum welcomes the international art world to Miami Art Week/Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the largest, most important international arts fairs, with a host of special exhibitions and events including the Miami Art Museum Ball, Party on the Plaza, the MAM Contemporaries Art Fair Survival Party, and the Parodi Lecture in the Philosophy of Art.
Artist Talks
Four international artists, Yael Bartana (b. 1970, Kfar Yehezkel, Israel), Bouchra Khalili (b. 1975, Casablanca, Morocco), Hew Locke (b. 1959, Edinburgh, Scotland) and Monika Sosnowska (b. 1972, Ryki, Poland), have been commissioned to create works for MAM’s reopening as Pérez Art Museum Miami in December 2013. Throughout the 12 months leading up to the opening, each of the four artists will participate in public discussions at the museum to encourage community interest and interaction with their creative processes. MAM Corporate Luncheon
Each year, Miami Art Museum honors leaders from the business community whose philanthropy has made a major impact on the cultural vitality of South Florida. The MAM Corporate Luncheon highlights the corporate community's integral support of the arts throughout the region. A recognized keynote speaker and honorees that have impacted the cultural community are the focus of the luncheon program. Find out more about the MAM Corporate Luncheon here.
MAM @ Books & Books
Join MAM's book discussion group, Reading Art. Come discuss art books in a range of different genres, including mysteries, biographies and critical books. Books may be purchased in advance at Books & Books in Coral Gables store at a 20% discount. The group meets every two months on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.
