MAM Family Festival
This special "Second Saturdays are Free for Families" event, held each spring, fills the Miami-Dade Cultural Plaza with a variety of games, entertainment and art activities. Children and their families are invited to spend the afternoon and take part in a number of engaging experiences, including exhibition tours.
This year's MAM Free Family Festival: “Spin it!” and Vinyl Swap Shop is Saturday, April 14, 1-4pm. Enjoy a day of record-related festivities for people of all ages, from vinyl aficionados to those experiencing this vintage technology for the very first time!
• Take your turn at the tables; Scratch DJ Academy Miami will be on hand providing lessons for people of all ages
• Enjoy live entertainment by DJ Immortal, 2011 DMC southeast champion and director of Scratch DJ Academy Miami
• Bring your own records to trade, discuss, and have appraised by experts from Sweat Records and Radio-Active Records
• Take a family-friendly exhibition tour of The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl
• Make art inspired by works on view

This monthly program for drop-in visitors features hands-on activities for children and adults. Second Saturdays also include guided tours and occasional guest artists. This is a fun-filled afternoon for families to explore the museum, learn something new, create art and enjoy time together.

Designed for visitors of all ages, this interactive space in the museum's upper-level galleries features reading materials, videos, writing stations, and hands-on activities intended to enhance the understanding and enjoyment of MAM's collection and exhibitions.
